After President Biden of the United States announced that he will not run for re-election, Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as a leading Democratic candidate, sparking renewed interest in the country’s longest-running animated series, “The Simpsons.”
According to a recent report by CNN in the United States, there is a growing interpretation online that 24 years ago, the character Lisa Simpson from “The Simpsons” bears a striking resemblance to Harris. In an episode aired 24 years ago titled “Bart to the Future,” Lisa Simpson challenges to become the first female President of the United States, and her appearance in that episode is eerily similar to Harris’ attire when she was inaugurated as Vice President in 2021.
In that same episode, the show also depicted the then-President Trump as the current President, which had already caused a stir when Trump was elected in the 2016 presidential election. Al Jean, a writer for “The Simpsons,” shared his pride on social media the day before about participating in the show’s predictions coming true.
“The Simpsons” has been known for showcasing fictional scenarios in various episodes that later came to pass in real life on multiple occasions. Additionally, CNN jokingly commented that “The Simpsons” is being praised as a modern-day Nostradamus, suggesting that people should ask them for lottery numbers.
