Naver announced on the 17th that it has partnered with MBC to provide popular entertainment content on its streaming service ‘Chijijik’. Naver Chijijik will stream four major MBC entertainment series: ‘Infinite Challenge’, ‘I Live Alone’, ‘High Kick!’, and ‘High Kick Through the Roof’. Differentiating itself from the traditional video-on-demand (VOD) services, Naver Chijijik will broadcast these series live 24 hours a day on four separate channels. This allows viewers to access and enjoy popular MBC content at their convenience.
This introduction of entertainment content aims to provide a new viewing experience where streamers and viewers can enjoy shows together. Streamers (creators) can use the ‘watch together’ feature to watch popular series like ‘Infinite Challenge’ and ‘I Live Alone’, streaming 24 hours, with fans in real-time, fostering interaction.
Naver Chijijik expects to capture the demand of viewers across various age groups by supplying popular content on the platform. This is expected to offer a unique experience to existing users and streamers while also attracting new users from the existing fan base of these shows.
