Uber Taxi announced on the 20th that it will operate an “Uber Taxi Rickshaw” tour in Bukchon, Seoul from the 21st to the 27th. This is the second program following Gyeongju, featuring a route that connects the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul – Sagan-dong alleys – Yun Posun’s house – K-Drama Road – Gamgodang-gil – Jongchinbu – Gwanghwamun. The rickshaw drivers will explain key spots and assist with commemorative photos.
Reservations can be made through a link provided on Uber Taxi Korea’s official Instagram. When the Uber app is opened near Gwanghwamun, users will be directly connected to the rickshaw calling menu. If the app is downloaded and verified on the day of the ride, the service can be used for free, with operating hours from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Promotions are also available. First-time users of Uber Taxi can receive up to 10,000 won (5,000 won x 2 times) by entering the promotion code ‘UBERBUKCHON’. If passengers upload rickshaw ride snapshots to their own social media, a 10,000 won taxi ride coupon will be provided on-site.
An Uber Taxi representative said, “Through the operation of rickshaws in Bukchon, Seoul, we wanted to provide convenience to both domestic and international tourists,” adding, “We will continue to expand choices for tourism transportation services through various programs.”
