The three major mobile carriers have begun pre-orders for Samsung Electronics’ foldable phones, the ‘Galaxy Z Flip 7’ and ‘Galaxy Z Fold 7’. Depending on the carrier, customers can receive benefits such as free access to online video services (OTT) or artificial intelligence (AI) services.

On the 15th, SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus announced that they will hold pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 until the 21st. Pre-order activations will begin on the 22nd of this month, and the official release date is the 25th. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, and Jet Black, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes in Blue Shadow, Coral Red, and Jet Black.

The three carriers have set the maximum public subsidy at 500,000 won. New product buyers can receive device discounts by adding additional subsidies provided by stores. The factory price of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 ranges from 2,379,300 won to 2,933,700 won, depending on the capacity, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is priced between 1,485,000 won and 1,643,400 won.

SKT offers a 3-month free subscription to the video service Tving for all customers who activate their phones before August 31st. Customers who purchase the smartphone with a plan of 69,000 won or more per month (Direct 5G 69) at the T Direct Shop online mall can get a 150,000 won discount when buying a Galaxy Watch 8.

KT introduces a ‘Pre-Compensation Program’ where the phone’s release price can be discounted by 50% if the purchased smartphone is returned later. Applying carrier subsidies and additional device discounts to this program allows for an even more affordable purchase. LG Uplus provides a 6-month subscription to the AI search service ‘Liner’ to the first 10,000 pre-order customers. The AI service ‘Canva’, which assists with design and video work, is also available for free for six months.
