SK Broadband is continuously operating the “AI Agent Lab” course for their internal members. Members of SK Broadband participating in the course are creating their own agents.
SK Broadband has set this year’s core keywords for organizational culture as “Working with AI” and “Dynamic SKB,” and is embarking on a massive capacity-building initiative to turn all employees into AI experts.
While last year was about building the foundation for AI adoption through the introduction of an AI level certification system and self-learning groups like “AI Study Mate,” this year, the strategy is to make it the first year of ‘AX Innovation’ by linking these efforts to practical business results.
SK Broadband will officially run the intensive AI education program, “AI Agent Lab,” for all members until October.
The goal of this course is to more than double the number of mid-level or higher competency holders, known as “AI Performers,” from 9% to 20%, or 400 people. Additionally, by the end of the year, the company aims for all employees to complete the basic course, “AI Learner,” to spread the culture of working with AI throughout the organization and to elevate both individual and organizational AI capabilities.
Especially, this training focuses beyond theory on delivering tangible results. By having the 400 “AI Performers” develop and apply their own AI agents in their work areas, it is expected that a minimum of 400 customized AI work tools will be created within the company.
Currently, SK Broadband has made a tailored AI leadership course mandatory for all levels from new recruits to executives and team leaders. It is also concentrating organizational capabilities to ensure the whole company acts as an AI one team by hosting forums for regional business sites, among other efforts.
The company plans to enhance the “AI certification system” further to strengthen intuitive management of AI talent pools and to expand the AI utilization culture by sharing excellent use cases in real time through the visualization of AI utilization status.
Min Boo-sik, head of SK Broadband’s Corporate Culture Center, stated, “If last year was about getting familiar with AI, this year is the year all members become AI experts, establishing AI as the work standard.” He added, “By having members develop AI agents themselves and fostering a culture of innovative productivity, we will create substantial business value.”
