**Apple Music’s 10th Anniversary Top Song Chart Revealed**

**Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ Ranks 1st; BTS and Rosé Make the List**

[Edaily’s Kim Beom-jun reports] Over the past decade, the most loved song on Apple Music globally has been Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.” The chart also includes K-pop representatives BTS and BLACKPINK’s Rosé.

To mark its 10th anniversary, Apple Music released the 500 most-streamed songs worldwide on July 7.

The countdown for “10 Years of Apple Music: Top Songs” began sequentially with 100 songs per day on playlists and radio programs starting from July 1 in the U.S.

The most-streamed song was Ed Sheeran’s 2017 hit “Shape of You,” which set a record as the most globally streamed pop song on its release day. It has topped the ‘pop hits’ chart in at least one country for over 1,800 days and ranked #1 in ‘all-genre hits’ for more than 1,000 days. Ed Sheeran, with 11 songs in the Top 500, emerged as one of the artists with the most entries.

Drake topped the list with 27 songs, followed by Taylor Swift with 14 songs, and The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar each with nine songs.

BTS achieved the highest rank among K-pop artists with “Dynamite” (34th) and “Butter” (252nd). “Dynamite,” released in 2020, was the first K-pop song to enter Apple Music’s “Top 100: Global” chart in the top five, with “Butter” achieving the same record seven months later. Of the ten K-pop songs to enter the top five of this chart over the past decade, three are by BTS.

Rosé’s collaboration with U.S. pop star Bruno Mars, “APT.,” ranked 459th as the most recent song on the chart. With its addictive rhythm, “APT.” held the #1 spot on Apple Music’s “Top 100: Global” chart for over 60 consecutive days, ranking among the top five achievements on Apple Music in the past decade.

Additionally, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” was the only holiday season song in the top 100, while Queen’s 1975 release “Bohemian Rhapsody” was noted as the oldest song on the chart.

Meanwhile, to commemorate its 10th anniversary, Apple Music recently unveiled its new Los Angeles (LA) studio, set to open this summer. Designed with an “artist-centered” philosophy, the space aims to support artists’ creative endeavors and foster deeper connections with fans, ready to bring new inspiration to the music ecosystem. To celebrate the anniversary, Apple Music Radio has also launched a special countdown and various featured and live programs starting July 1.
