Naver Webtoon supports finished authors’ emotional recovery… Conducts mindfulness program.

(Seoul=News1) Reporter Kim Jung-hyun: Naver Webtoon announced on the 3rd that it conducted a psychological recovery program for completed authors as part of its creative ecosystem support program ‘WEBTOON With’.

Twenty-seven authors who completed their works this year participated in the two-day, one-night program held from October 29 to 30.

A representative from Naver Webtoon explained, “This program was designed to relieve the psychological fatigue and isolation experienced during the serialization process and to recharge creative energy by interacting with fellow authors.”

During the two-day, one-night program, participating authors experienced various activities such as the ‘Story Workshop in the Forest of Life’ with coaching experts, an aromatherapy session to aid emotional relaxation, and appreciation of a support book containing messages of encouragement from readers.

Harin, the author of the webtoon ‘Goodbye, My Collection’, who participated in the camp, said, “This program, which considers and supports the emotional recovery of authors, seems to be a great help in preparing for my next work.”

Chae Yu-ki, Vice President of Naver Webtoon’s Korea service, said, “We believe creating an environment where authors can produce great works is paramount at Naver Webtoon,” and added, “We will continue to actively support not only the success of the works but also enable authors to continue their creative activities through new systems and programs.”
