Naver and the KRCC have agreed to introduce IT technology to address the climate crisis and prevent regional extinction in rural and fishing areas.

According to Naver on the 17th, the two organizations signed an MOU the previous day related to these initiatives.

Under the agreement, the parties will collaborate on the following: ▲ Implementing Naver Clova CareCall to enhance support for vulnerable groups in rural and fishing regions ▲ Activating experience villages and idle resources in these areas through the introduction of smart places ▲ Promoting ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management through cooperation in renewable energy development.

Initially, a pilot operation of Naver’s AI phone care service ‘Clova CareCall’ will target 100 pension recipients and vulnerable groups in the Chungbuk region managed by KRCC. Naver plans to provide technology consulting and other support. The aim is to showcase various experiential spaces in rural and fishing areas through Naver SmartPlace and offer diverse information to increase user interaction with these regions.

Furthermore, they plan to collaborate on activating ESG management through joint development of renewable energies such as agrivoltaics. They also intend to jointly pursue the introduction of various innovative technologies like AI and digital twins over the long term.
