Mgame (CEO Kwon I-hyung) announced on the 15th that it recorded its highest first-quarter revenue ever, with consolidated sales of 27.1 billion won, an operating profit of 6.5 billion won, and a net profit of 5.7 billion won for the first quarter.
Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 39.8%, operating profit by 61.8%, and net profit by 70.2%. Compared to the previous quarter, they rose by 3.0%, 67.3%, and 40.5% respectively.
Mgame explained, “The overseas sales of PC MMORPGs ‘Yulgang Online’ and ‘Knight Online,’ along with the new sales from the mobile MMORPG ‘Ghost Online M,’ released last November, drove the performance increase.”
In particular, ‘Knight Online,’ which has been serviced in North America and Europe since 2005, contributed to the performance with a 68.5% increase in sales compared to the first quarter of last year. The steady updates, events, and marketing led to an increase in concurrent users, and the expansion of channels for server stabilization in October and November of last year, followed by special item discount events, were effective.
Mgame plans to launch ‘Yulgang M: Prelude,’ a mobile MMORPG based on the graphics of ‘Yulgang Online,’ domestically within the first half of this year.
Additionally, in the third quarter, Mgame will capitalize on its experience in developing and servicing idle mobile games ‘QueensKnights’ to launch an idle mobile game based on the popular IP ‘Ghost Online.’
Furthermore, in the second half of the year, a mobile game developed by a Chinese game company based on the MMORPG ‘Droiyan Online’ IP will be released locally. Mgame is also pursuing overseas export contracts for new titles and planning to proceed with the publishing service of more than one mobile game.
CEO Kwon I-hyung of Mgame stated, “The performance of the first quarter of 2025 is a result of the steady revenue from the online games ‘Knight Online’ and ‘Yulgang Online’ combined with new mobile game sales.” He added, “In the second half, we will continue to grow by introducing new large-scale updates for ‘Yulgang Online’ and new titles domestically and internationally, and by targeting the global market.”
