Photo provided by LG Uplus., LG Uplus stated on the 6th that it will revamp its ‘Roaming Pass,’ a popular product for overseas travel, by significantly increasing its data allowance by up to double. The revamped Roaming Pass will be available from the 1st of next month, just in time for the early May holidays.
LG Uplus prepared this revamp to alleviate the burden of roaming usage during the holiday season, at a time when overseas travel expenses are increasing due to surging fuel surcharges and exchange rate hikes, and travel demand is on the rise. Unlike simple, low-cost eSIMs or local SIM cards, the Roaming Pass is expected to provide a differentiated ‘premium peace of mind’ value, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Additionally, LG Uplus has revamped the text messages sent when subscribing to the Roaming Pass by concisely organizing previously scattered roaming-related information, allowing customers to check key details at a glance. Furthermore, they offer differentiated benefits such as free in-flight Wi-Fi vouchers and insurance covering flight delays, thereby ensuring a seamless travel experience from start to finish for those subscribing to certain plans.
Moving forward, LG Uplus plans to continuously enhance its roaming services to increase customer convenience and strengthen partnership benefits that can be experienced before and after travel, thereby further advancing the service.
