KT Skylife reported an operating profit of 16.5 billion KRW for the third quarter, marking a 793.3% increase compared to the previous year.

[Financial News] KT Skylife announced on the 10th that it recorded consolidated sales of 246.9 billion KRW and an operating profit of 16.5 billion KRW in the third quarter of 2025.

The operating profit increased by 793.3% compared to the same period last year, driven by cost efficiency and the strengthening of core business competitiveness. KT Skylife explained that a significant decrease in the amortization expenses of intangible assets from its subsidiaries contributed to the increase in operating profit. The net income for the period was 12.2 billion KRW, which is an increase of 476.5% compared to the same period last year.

On a standalone basis, the operating profit was 16.4 billion KRW, and the net income was 11.6 billion KRW, reflecting increases of 53.4% and 50%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. KT Skylife attributed the easing trend of subscriber decline in broadcasting to strong sales of ‘iFit TV’, along with increased internet sales indicating continued growth in the internet business model (BM).

Despite the recent downturn in the advertising market, the ENA channel recorded a 7.4% market share in the paid television advertising market.

KT Skylife CEO Choi Young-bum stated, “We have achieved performance improvements despite the slump in the paid broadcasting market and intensified competition. Moving forward, we will continue to create a stable profit structure by enhancing cost efficiency and strengthening the competitiveness of our core businesses.”
