(Seoul=News1) Reporter Yang Saerom = The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 6th a total of 662 companies subject to mandatory information security disclosure, including investment in information security, dedicated personnel, and related activities.
JYP Entertainment (035900), Hanwha Galleria (452260), Megazone Cloud, and Hanjin Information & Communication are newly included.
The obligation of information security disclosure is a system created to promote safe information and communication service utilization and investment in information security. It was first introduced in 2015 and became mandatory from 2022.
This year, the companies subject to information security disclosure obligation have slightly increased in the company with line facility ownership period telecom operators, and the companies subject to disclosure based on business areas (IDC, general hospitals, IaaS), revenue (over 300 billion won), and number of users (over 1 million) are at similar levels to the previous year.

Detailed information can be checked on the Ministry of Science and ICT website and electronic disclosure system. If a publicly disclosed company determines that it is not subject to the disclosure obligation, it can submit an objection and supporting documents by the 13th of this month to receive guidance on the results.
Companies subject to the obligation of information security disclosure and companies wishing to voluntarily disclose information security must submit their information security disclosure status by June 30, and failure to do so may result in a fine of up to 10 million won.
The Ministry of Science and ICT introduced that if a company voluntarily fulfills the obligation of information security disclosure, it can receive a discount corresponding to 30% of the ISMS (Information Security Management System) and ISMS-P certification fees.
