(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Hyun-su = Hancom is partnering with Intel to develop an on-device AI solution for drafting and summarizing documents.
Hancom announced on the 17th that it revealed this collaboration plan at the launch event of Intel Korea’s next-generation graphics card ‘Intel Arc B Series’ on the 16th.
The two companies will focus their efforts on expanding the on-device AI market and providing a new user experience in the AI PC environment.
On-device AI is technology that processes AI computations directly on the user’s device instead of on a cloud server.
Hancom reported that it is discussing with Intel ways to maximize the synergy between its AI solution ‘Hancom Pedia’ and Intel’s Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology.
Currently, Hancom is conducting tests to expand its main AI products like ‘Hancom Assistant’ and ‘Hancom Pedia’ into the on-device domain.
The two companies, in partnership with Hancom’s subsidiary Edu-Tech company Hancom Academy, plan to develop online and offline educational programs.
Kim Yeon-su, CEO of Hancom, stated, “As the AI PC market is expected to grow rapidly, the collaboration with Intel will greatly enhance the user experience of Hancom’s AI products,” and added, “By supporting more users to easily utilize AI technology through on-device AI, we will lead the way in expanding AI accessibility and popularizing AI.”
