Com2uS will hold the World Finals of the “Summoners War World Arena Championship 2024 (SWC2024)” on November 9th at noon (Korea Time) in Tokyo, Japan.
SWC2024, a global eSports competition for “Summoners War,” began recruiting participants worldwide in June. Through preliminary and main regional cups, 12 top-level players were selected.
The SWC2024 World Finals represent the final gateway to deciding the world’s best among regional champions in “Summoners War.” This year, the number of World Finals participants increased to 12, with many emerging strong players, indicating a highly competitive event.
The matches will be held offline at the Triangle Square located in Shinjuku Sumitomo Building, Tokyo. Triangle Square can accommodate more than 2,000 people. The event will also be broadcast live on YouTube with professional commentary in various languages for a global audience.
Players are divided into seeds 1 and 2, with second-seed players advancing past the first round of the quarterfinals to face first-seed competitors in the second round. Matches up to the semifinals will be held in a best-of-five format, while the finals will be best-of-seven to determine the winner. KUROMI from Korea, the runner-up in the Asia-Pacific Cup, is set to compete, alongside LEST, who aims for a third championship title following victories in 2019 and last year. Other contenders include TRUEWHALE, last year’s World Finals runner-up, and ISMOO, who placed third in the 2022 World Finals.
Aside from the matches, various leisure activities are planned. On-site attendees will receive a commemorative package containing limited edition “SWC2024” goodies, and there will be photo booths, food trucks, and mini-events. Additionally, a prediction event will be held in the game until 11:30 AM on the 9th.
