Bespin Global and the Seoul Tourism Organization Develop ‘K-Tourism Specialized AI Agent’

**Revitalization of the Travel Market and Customized Information for Foreign Tourists**: On the 24th, Bespin Global, a company specializing in AI-managed services, announced that it has built and supplied a travel concierge AI agent specifically for domestic tourism to the Seoul Tourism Organization.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, about 16.3 million foreign tourists visited Korea last year, and this number has been steadily increasing since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. The nationalities of these visitors are diverse, including China, Japan, Taiwan, and the United States. The popular tourist attractions, restaurants, and experiences vary vastly depending on the age and purpose of travel. As a result, there has been a need to develop a travel AI agent that provides more detailed tourist information to foreign tourists visiting Seoul.

The travel concierge AI agent developed by Bespin Global is based on the LLM-based AI agent platform, “HelpNow AI.” It offers Q&A and summary services about landmarks, restaurants, hotels, and performances; recommends unique restaurants, activities, and hotels; generates thematic travel schedules; provides multilingual services in English, Japanese, and Chinese; and offers hybrid search capabilities based on generative AI. The service’s sophistication will be enhanced over time, extending its multimodal and multilingual support.

Bespin Global integrated dispersed tourism content information from public data portals, the Korea Tourism Organization, and Visit Seoul, the official tourism information website for Seoul. It developed a cloud-based generative AI application infrastructure based on this integration, applying various prompt engineering techniques to set constraints, format responses, and control hallucinations to enhance answer accuracy.

To control hallucinations that can occur with the introduction of generative AI and improve answer quality, the Advanced RAG method was applied. A workflow generating knowledge data supporting responses was configured by automatically collecting and preprocessing various tourism content provided by Visit Seoul. It also supports five languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese, providing prompt answers in these languages.

“HelpNow AI” is an LLM-based AI agent platform that allows the direct development and operation of chatbots/callbots, voice bots, and AI assistants optimized for the characteristics of each field. It efficiently utilizes vast data through functions such as multi-LLM linking, RAG-based answers, and multi-agent creation and management. It has been successfully employed in diverse industries such as energy, education, public sector, manufacturing, and customer service.

Na Jeong-woo, the team leader of the project at Bespin Global, stated, “As this AI agent is operated for foreign tourists by the Seoul Tourism Organization, the development of a service that provides more precise tourist information was required.” He added, “Bespin Global possesses not only the technological prowess of HelpNow AI but also experience in developing AI services specialized for various industries.
