When LG Uplus’s AI “Exy” briefs today’s schedule, the living room wall transforms automatically, displaying the day’s agenda. The indoor temperature and lighting are automatically adjusted according to the user’s preferences, and news and content favoured by the family appear on the living room table.
On the 3rd (local time), LG Uplus announced that it unveiled the “Exy Future Village,” which portrays future living in 2050 through “secure intelligence”-based Exy, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 held in Barcelona, Spain.
Exy Future Village is a future residential space reduced to one-third the size of a real living space. It is a model that imagines and showcases how future customers’ lives will change with Exy. Visitors can see and experience how invisible AI and communication technologies are applied to real life in Exy Future Village.
Exy Future Village is created using 3 transparent OLEDs, measuring 3.8 meters wide and 3.5 meters long, roughly the size of two cars placed side by side. LG Uplus modeled the life patterns of three groups with different lifestyles—elderly couples, families with young children, and small business owners—using AI to solve various real-life problems.
The elderly couple sitting in the living room can check their daily recommended activity levels and blood pressure data in real-time through Exy’s health monitoring system. Exy automatically adjusts the indoor temperature for the couple and suggests appropriate exercises according to their health status. It can also automatically send alerts in case of emergencies.
In family homes with young children, the AI-based video analysis solution “Exy Vision” manages indoor and outdoor safety. If a child falls in the living room, the AI detects it and calls the caregiver or allows them to check the child’s activities in real-time from outside the home. It is also possible to create an optimal working environment at home with the help of AI.
For small business owners, “Exio” helps optimize store operation schedules. “Exio” automatically manages reservations, analyzes customer patterns, and suggests customized marketing. It supports efficient store operation through AI-based work automation solutions.
In Exy Future Village, visitors can also see how to use LG Uplus’s developed personal AI agent “Exio.” It goes beyond performing simple voice commands, analyzing user call habits and preferences to interact with them in daily life. According to LG Uplus, it has evolved into an “Actionable AI” that proactively makes suggestions.
