The President Attends Korea-Vietnam Business Forum Today… Signs Over 70 MOUs

On the third day of President Lee Jae-myung’s state visit to Vietnam, he will attend the ‘Korea-Vietnam Business Forum’ this afternoon (23rd) to discuss ways to expand economic cooperation with major business leaders from both countries.

In his keynote speech, President Lee is expected to mention the close cooperation between Korea and Vietnam in trade and investment, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the two countries to address recent international uncertainties and pursue mutual growth.

Today’s event is expected to host about 500 attendees, including 109 companies from Korea’s economic delegation, along with government officials, public institutions, and business leaders from both countries.

From Korea, approximately 250 business leaders are present, including SK Chairman Chey Tae-won, Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin, POSCO Holdings Chairman Jang In-hwa, and HD Hyundai Chairman Chung Ki-sun.

From Vietnam, around 250 business leaders are in attendance as well, including Chairman Le Ngoc Son of PVN (PetroVietnam), Chairman Dang Hoang An of EVN (Vietnam Electricity), Chairman Dang Minh Truong of Sun Group, Chairman Tran Ba Duong of Thaco Group, and Chairman Truong Gia Binh of FPT Group.

During the forum, more than 70 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed between companies from both countries in various fields, including advanced technology, consumer goods, infrastructure, energy, and finance.
