President Lee Jae-myung stated that transitioning to a carbon-neutral society is an unavoidable path for becoming a major global economic power, even if some hardships are involved.
During the cabinet meeting held at the Yongsan Presidential Office today (11th), President Lee remarked that avoiding necessary actions would result in a greater crisis.
He emphasized the need for practical wisdom to find a balance between goals and means, taking into account our realistic conditions and the public burden.
President Lee also urged relevant ministries to address the difficulties that the public and businesses may face during the transition to renewable energy and the reduction of greenhouse gases in various ways.
