The People Power Party has begun a two-day public opinion poll to narrow down its candidates from eight to four. The candidates, Na Kyung-won and Ahn Cheol-soo, who are fiercely competing to make it to the top four, visited the Yeongnam region to appeal for last-minute support.

The first primary election of the People Power Party will determine the winners through a 100% public opinion poll of 4,000 citizens.

“The counting process starts at 7 o’clock. We will not disclose the voting rates, nor will we reveal the rankings.”

The candidate camps have encouraged participation in the primary opinion poll by urging people to answer calls starting with ’02’ or ‘070’.

The competition between Na Kyung-won and Ahn Cheol-soo to enter the top four is particularly intense.

Both candidates visited Daegu and promised to push for the long-awaited local project of constructing a new airport, while also keeping each other in check.

Candidate Yoo Jeong-bok repeatedly urged former President Yoon to resign, stating it’s time to show the resolve to “step over me.”

Gyeongbuk Governor Lee Cheol-woo inspected the forest fire disaster sites in the Gyeongbuk region, and candidate Yang Hyang-ja visited her hometown, Gwangju.
