The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs says, “Youth voices will be reflected in veterans’ policies” as it forms the 2nd batch of the 2030 Advisory Group.

**Comprising 26 active-duty soldiers, firefighters, teachers, and others**

The launching ceremony for the second-term Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs 2030 Advisory Group, aimed at reflecting young people’s opinions in veterans’ policies, will be held at the War Memorial Exhibition Hall of the Seoul National Cemetery on the afternoon of the 5th.

According to the Ministry on the 4th, the second-term 2030 Advisory Group consists of 26 young people in their 20s and 30s from various professions, including active-duty soldiers, firefighters, teachers, and students.

The 2030 Advisory Group will play a role in conveying the opinions of the younger generation through activities such as suggestions on veterans’ policies, monitoring, participation in veterans’ events, and promotions until December of next year.

Heo Ji-hoong, the chair of the 2030 Advisory Group and a youth advisor, stated, “We will do our best to ensure that the 2030 Advisory Group becomes a messenger conveying the younger generation’s awareness for the development of veterans’ policies through a variety of activities.”

Minister Kang Jeong-ae remarked, “To spread the culture of commemoration into the everyday life of the public, it is necessary for the younger generation to take an interest in and practice commemoration,” and expressed anticipation for the active involvement of the 2030 Advisory Group, composed of youth, in offering innovative and diverse suggestions.
