On May 22, Speaker Woo stated, “If measures such as designating a day off for the presidential election are not taken by delivery companies and others, it will be practically difficult for courier workers and others to participate in this election,” and urged for the day off to be designated on June 3.
In a Facebook post the same day, Speaker Woo mentioned, “We need special measures for those who are in the blind spot for exercising voting rights.”
He further appealed, “I hope delivery companies and others will actively seek measures such as designating a day off for the presidential election, so that not a single citizen is restricted in exercising their precious voting rights.”
Speaker Woo urged the government, “I request all measures be prepared so that all citizens can exercise their constitutional voting rights in this election, which will determine the future of South Korea.”
