President Yoon Seok-yeol has decided to send a special envoy regarding the Czech Republic’s new nuclear power plant contract.
The special envoy, led by Seong Tae-yoon, head of the Presidential Policy Office, will deliver President Yoon’s letter and discuss follow-up measures related to the nuclear power plant contract.

The Presidential Office announced that President Yoon Seok-yeol has decided to dispatch a special envoy to the Czech Republic regarding the new nuclear power plant contract.
The special envoy, led by Seong Tae-yoon, head of the Presidential Policy Office, will consist of 2 members including Minister of Industry, Trade and Resources Ahn Deok-geun.
The special envoy is scheduled to have meetings and discussions with Prime Minister Petr Fiala and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Resources during the 3-day stay in the Czech Republic.

Also, they will focus on discussing follow-up measures such as establishing a government-to-government hotline.”]
The Presidential Office stated that dispatching the head of the Presidential Policy Office as the special envoy demonstrates their commitment to directly handle any necessary follow-up measures.
It was also explained that during the meeting with Prime Minister Fiala, officials from Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) will also accompany the delegation.
It is reported that the meeting will also discuss cooperation in areas other than nuclear power between the two countries.
In relation to this, President Yoon Seok-yeol instructed related ministries during a senior secretary meeting yesterday to make full efforts to strengthen the nuclear power ecosystem.
