Park Geun-hye plans to visit Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam and Gangwon, following visits to Daegu and the Chungcheong region, in a move to consolidate conservative support.

Former President Park Geun-hye plans to continue her campaign support activities for the June 3 local elections. According to the People Power Party on the 25th, Park is scheduled to campaign in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Wonju, Gangwon Province, this week.

She is expected to visit Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam on the 27th and will likely campaign in Wonju on the 28th. Previously, on the 23rd, Park supported the campaign of Choo Kyung-ho, the People Power Party’s candidate for Daegu mayor, at Chilseong Market in Daegu.

Earlier that day, she visited the birthplace of late Yook Young-soo in Okcheon, Chungbuk, and in the afternoon, planned to support Lee Jang-woo, the candidate for Daejeon mayor, in Daejeon.

This marks Park’s first appearance at an election campaign site since her impeachment in 2017. Her actions are seen as an effort to rally conservative voters amid a tight race in the local elections.
