The leader of the People Power Party, Han Dong-hoon, continues to have covert contacts with the medical community, while Park Dan, the head of the Emergency Response Committee of the Korean Society of Medical Specialties, claimed that he has not communicated with Han after meeting with him once in private.
Park, the committee head, criticized Han for claiming that he has been communicating with him consistently through unofficial channels and at an informal level, calling it ‘fabrication’ in response to the remarks made by the party spokesperson on CBS Radio interview on the 13th.
In response, Han Ji-a, the senior spokesperson of the People Power Party, explained during a meeting with journalists at the National Assembly that they have attempted to communicate through various means but have not received any response.
Moreover, she added that as there are over 2,000 resigning medical specialists, it is difficult for any organization to represent them, and expressed hope that if there are individuals playing important roles like Park, they would actively engage in communication.
