Park Chan-dae: “Yoon, instead of reflecting, incites civil war… must be arrested today.”

Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized President Yoon Suk-yeol for continuing to incite civil war from the presidential residence instead of reflecting on his actions, despite a month having passed since the declaration of martial law.

In a policy coordination meeting, Park urged the joint investigative headquarters to arrest President Yoon immediately, without delaying the execution of a warrant, in order to suppress the insurrection and restore national order.

He further stated that hindering the arrest of a leader of insurrection aiming to overthrow the Republic of Korea would be tantamount to confessing to being an accomplice. He emphasized that the Presidential Security Service should not obstruct official duties and should cooperate with the warrant execution willingly.

Furthermore, he accused the People Power Party of engaging in cowardly behavior by opposing the approval of a plan after agreeing to form a special committee for a state investigation into the charges of insurrection. He claimed that groups inciting rebellion are still active in various places.
