On the 26th, the Democratic Party of Korea pressured Acting President Han Duk-soo, stating that “today is the final deadline,” and demanded that the appointment process for the Constitutional Court judge begin as soon as the appointment consent bill passes the National Assembly.

Floor Leader Park Chan-dae emphasized at the policy coordination meeting held in the main building of the National Assembly in the morning, “To swiftly dismiss the insurgency ringleader Yoon Seok-yeol and punish all remnants of the rebellion is the path to normalizing South Korea.” He added, “Appointing the Constitutional Court judge promptly to form a complete nine-member system from the current six-member structure is the start of normalizing the country.”

Park insisted, “According to the constitution, the acting president must immediately appoint the Constitutional Court judge,” and argued that “not appointing a Constitutional Court judge is a clear unconstitutional act and a serious anti-state act indicating reluctance to promptly end the December 3rd rebellion crisis.”

He urged, “Acting President Han must appoint the judge without any delay the moment the National Assembly sends the appointment consent bill to the government,” stressing, “Today is the final deadline that can be tolerated.”

He also warned, “Do not walk the path of the historical traitors, the Eulsa Five Eulsa Five Traitors.”
