It is estimated that sewage balloons sent by North Korea were also found in Andong and Yecheon in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the authorities took measures to collect them.
According to the Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters on the 2nd, at around 8:35 a.m. on that day, an object resembling a sewage balloon was found at a golf course in Han Golf Course, Bomyeon, Yecheon-gun. Then, at around 8:51 a.m. on the same day, one sewage balloon, suspected to have been sent by North Korea, was found in a field in Yean-myeon, Andong.
Officials from the golf course and residents of Yean-myeon reported to the fire authorities and the police, saying, “It seems to be a sewage balloon sent by North Korea.”
Although no one was injured by these balloons, it was confirmed that various types of garbage similar to what North Korea dispersed in the first sewage balloon on the 28th of last month were found inside the balloons.
The military authorities are collecting these balloons and analyzing their contents.
