“No Surprises” in는 상황에 대해 여당 보좌진협의회가 실망감을 지도부에 전달했다.

The Democratic Party of Korea’s Aides Association (Minbohyeop) met with Acting Representative and Floor Leader Kim Byung-ki on the 15th to demand the establishment of a discussion system for the practical improvement of aides’ treatment. This demand comes after the controversy surrounded the nominee for Minister of Gender Equality and Family, Kang Sun-woo, who has been accused of mistreating her aides. The association reported conveying to Kim the lack of interest in aides’ human rights and treatment, which has led to significant disappointment among aides. They emphasized the importance of devising and implementing measures for the actual improvement of aides’ treatment, recognizing that the human rights and rights issues of aides, now brought to light, cannot be ignored.

Previously, former aides of nominee Kang revealed allegations that she routinely had them take home trash, including leftovers like chicken, and instructed them to fix toilets. During a personnel hearing, Kang explained that she took leftover food intending to eat it the next morning, admitting it was her mistake to leave it in the car, clarifying it was not food waste, but breakfast. She also acknowledged asking for advice on toilet repair, framing it as a request for help.

Meanwhile, the People’s Power Party Aides Association staged a protest in front of the hearing venue, holding signs that read, ‘We remember the forced private orders and excessive abuse of power,’ calling for Kang’s voluntary resignation.
