“The Democratic Party of Korea has decided to establish a ‘Party Member Sovereignty Council’ within the party to enhance member participation.
A key party official told YTN that while specific details have not been finalized, they are currently in the stage of gathering opinions.
They explained that the purpose of the Party Member Sovereignty Council is to gather various opinions from members and strengthen communication through member participation events and YouTube broadcasts.
Moreover, they added that given the strength of party leader Lee Jae-myung in communication with members, they have been preparing for the establishment of the council since before the defection incident that occurred after the Speaker of the 22nd National Assembly election in the first half of this year.
