, “Previously, the Democratic Party proposed its own supplementary budget plan of 35 trillion won, suggesting distributing a ‘living expenses support fund’ of 250,000 won to all citizens as consumption coupons. However, the People Power Party opposed it, calling it ‘populism,’ and some within the opposition have expressed concerns about funding.”

, Lee explained, “The People Power Party mentioned an AI (artificial intelligence) supplementary budget at yesterday’s party-government consultation, and the Bank of Korea stated that if a supplementary budget of 15 to 20 trillion won is implemented, the growth rate would rise by 0.2 percentage points. Since both the ruling and opposition parties and the government authorities agree on the supplementary budget, I hope a conclusion is reached at tomorrow’s national policy meeting.”
