Jang Ye-chan, a former supreme council member of the People Power Party, claimed that Jin Eun-jung, the wife of party leader Han Dong-hoon, previously engaged in “opinion manipulation” by concealing her identity in a private mom’s online community.
On the 27th, Jang posted on his Facebook that “in 2017, a private mom cafe called Gangnam Mom Cappuccino led a campaign to send flower baskets to the special investigation team. It turned out that Jin Eun-jung, the wife of prosecutor Han Dong-hoon from the special investigation team, instigated sending flower baskets within the mom cafe.”
He added, “Members of the Gangnam Mom Cappuccino felt betrayed by the fact that Jin hid her identity and manipulated opinions, and eventually, she was expelled from the cafe. The flower basket campaign is remembered as a dark history of Gangnam Mom Cappuccino, with traces of it still present in articles and comments online.”
Jang continued, “Amazingly, the same method appeared in the People Power Party’s online community event. A fixed ID posting the same content as Han Dong-hoon’s family was found on DC Inside.”
He further claimed, “This ID led the campaign to send flower baskets to Han Dong-hoon’s campaign for the party convention. The fact that opinions were manipulated online by concealing identities indicates the same tactics and individual involved, both in the Gangnam Mom Cappuccino and the People Power Party community incident.”
He concluded by saying, “The manipulation of public opinion across the party member board, DC Inside, and mom cafes by Han Dong-hoon’s family is a serious issue. If Han covers up his family’s problems, any statement he makes will be met with the cynical response, ‘Take care of your family first.'”
Previously, controversy arose when posts defaming President Yoon and First Lady Kim Keon-hee appeared on the People Power Party member bulletin board in the name of Han and his family.
