The idiom “banghul-jijeong” describes a scenario where two parties are in conflict, but ultimately, an onlooker benefits from the situation. This is similar to the saying “fisherman’s gain” (어부지리).
It appears Mayor Hong is referring to the standoff between the Presidential Security Service, the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO), and the police over the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon. Meanwhile, at 10:33 AM, the CIO, police, and the Department of Defense Joint Investigation Headquarters carried out the arrest warrant for President Yoon.
