Acting President and Prime Minister Han Duck-soo delivered a public address today (26th) in the morning regarding the wildfires.
Acting President Han stated, “This wildfire is recording as the worst wildfire in history,” and added, “We will respond assuming the worst-case scenario as the fires are behaving beyond expectations.”
He also emphasized, “We will strengthen crackdowns on illegal burning and take stern action against violators.”
Acting President Han indicated, “As soon as the wildfire is under control, the government will announce improvement measures for response and prevention.”
