[KBS Jeonju] Cho Kuk, former leader of the Joseon Innovation Party, will visit Jeonbuk for two days starting today (27th).
Former leader Cho will first visit Gochang and Jeonju today (27th) and then head to Iksan tomorrow (28th).
The Innovation Party states that this visit is merely to express gratitude for the restoration of his rights and clearly distances itself from any political interpretation, emphasizing their intention to walk their own path.
However, the local political scene is analyzing that this is a full-fledged political move in anticipation of next year’s local elections, especially as former Gochang County Governor Yu Gisang has joined the Innovation Party. Requests for restraint concerning former leader Cho’s extensive activities are also being made, particularly from within the ruling party.
