Choo Kyung-ho, the floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 27th, regarding the re-vote on the special investigation law concerning Kim Gun-hee, “The lawmakers who engage in conversations with me are not wavering at all in their united opposition to the special investigation law.”
In a meeting with reporters at the National Assembly on this day, Choo was asked if the delay in the re-vote of the special investigation law, initially expected on the 28th but now postponed to December 10th, would affect the outcome. He replied, “I don’t think it will affect the result at all.”
Regarding some media reports suggesting that the People Power Party is considering a ‘collective abstention’ to prevent defection votes, Choo clarified, “Nothing has been decided when it comes to the voting method.”
He added, “If there are proposals from lawmakers regarding the voting method, we will gather a consensus and make a decision separately,” and noted, “We are not discussing anything concrete at this moment.”
