Acting President Choi especially highlighted Poland’s prioritization of ‘security’ as the EU’s chair country this semester, emphasizing that Korea can be an optimal strategic partner in the defense and security fields. He stated, “Korean-Polish defense cooperation will remain solid under bipartisan support in the future.”

In response, Prime Minister Tusk expressed his agreement on the resilience of Korean democracy, stating, “Poland highly values its relationship with Korea and will continue defense cooperation and other forms of collaboration without disruption.”

Acting President Choi and Prime Minister Tusk positively evaluated the ongoing momentum of high-level exchanges, including President Duda’s official visit to Korea last year to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. They agreed to continue strengthening their strategic partnership in various fields such as trade, investment, and advanced industries.
