[Breaking News] President’s Approval Rating at 56%… Democratic Party 39%, People Power Party 23% [NBS]

From the first week of September, a downward trend continued, with positive evaluations at 48% and negative evaluations at 35% for the appearance on ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’. Party support indicates 39% for the Democratic Party and 23% for the People’s Power Party.

According to the nationwide indicator survey (NBS) conducted by Embrain Public, KSTAT Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research from the 13th to the 15th, which surveyed 1,000 men and women aged 18 and over, 56% of respondents had a positive view, marking a 1% point drop from the previous survey (first week of October).

The positive evaluation rate for governance has been on a decline, recording 62% in the first week of September, 59% in the third week of September, and 57% in the first week of October. Meanwhile, the rate of those who responded ‘doing poorly’ increased by 1% point to 35%, with ‘don’t know/no response’ at 9%.

Regarding the president and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung’s appearance on “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” during the Chuseok holiday, 48% responded positively, while 35% responded negatively.

Party support shows the Democratic Party at 39%, a decrease of 2% points from the previous survey, and the People’s Power Party at 23%, a 1% point increase. The gap in support between the two parties has narrowed to 16%. Following them are the Reform Renewal Party at 4%, the Patriotic Innovation Party at 3%, and the Progressive Party at 1%. ‘Undecided’ accounted for 29%.

The NBS survey was conducted through telephone interviews using mobile virtual numbers (100%). The margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at the 95% confidence level, with a response rate of 15.8%.
