Ahn Cheol-soo Casts a Vote in Favor

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporters Hong Ji-in and Cho Da-un – On the 6th, People Power Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo stated, “I hope President Yoon Seok-yeol announces his plan to step down before tomorrow’s vote. If not, I must declare my support for the impeachment resolution.”
Meeting with reporters at the National Assembly that day, Ahn stated, “It is already impossible for President Yoon to carry out his presidency.”
He added, “I demanded that a timeline be presented on when he would step down and on the formation of a caretaker government to ensure orderly governance. However, President Yoon has yet to issue any apology or statement, and we are now facing tomorrow’s impeachment vote.”
When asked about senior lawmakers disagreeing with Han Dong-hoon’s position supporting impeachment, Ahn responded, “I have heard various things just now, and it seems the information held by Representative Han and the senior lawmakers is slightly different,” adding that “the issue will be clarified soon.”
