Currently, heatwave warnings are in effect for most regions across the country.
The weather is as hot as it was yesterday.
At the moment, temperatures in Seoul, Daejeon, and Gwangju are at 34 degrees, and Daegu is reaching over 36 degrees.
Today, strong sunlight will beat down without much sign of rain.
Brief showers of 5-20 mm are expected in the northern mountainous areas of Gangwon in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, vacationers should be particularly mindful of safety along the coastlines.
Strong swells will hit the west coast, south coast, and the coast of Jeju Island for the time being.
Sudden large waves can sweep you away quickly, so it’s best to avoid approaching the coastlines.
The extreme heat will continue over the weekend as well.
Daytime temperatures will rise to around 35 degrees over the weekend.
Due to atmospheric instability, showers will fall in various places across the country tomorrow.
On Sunday, it will rain in Jeju Island, and on Monday next week, there is rain forecasted for the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and Honam regions.
