Seoul, South Korea – On the 17th, strong rain accompanied by strong winds, thunder, and lightning is expected to fall in the central region.

From dawn to morning, in the capital area, areas may experience very strong rainfall of 30-60mm per hour (70mm in northern Gyeonggi Province), so precautions should be taken to prevent damage.

In the Chungcheong Province and Gangwon Province, each area is expected to receive 30-60mm and 20-30mm of rainfall respectively from dawn to morning.

The morning’s minimum temperature is forecasted to be 22-26 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature during the day is expected to be 26-32 degrees Celsius.

For the time being, the southern region and Jeju Island will feel very hot with a perceived temperature of over 33 degrees Celsius as the highest, and in other regions of the country, the highest perceived temperature is expected to be around 31 degrees Celsius, making it hot.

In most areas of the country excluding inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon Province, tropical nights are expected.

The fine dust concentration is forecasted to show a “good” level across the country due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the influence of rain.

The sea waves are expected to be 0.5-2.0m in the East Sea, 0.5-3.0m in the West Sea, and 0.5-1.0m in the South Sea.

The wave height in the far offshore waters (approximately 200 km from the coastline) is expected to be 0.5-2.5m in the East Sea and South Sea, and 1.5-3.5m in the West Sea.
