Starting from the 19th, a national treasure tour exhibition will be held at the Jincheon Bell Museum, featuring five pieces of blue and white porcelain.

(Jincheon=Yonhap News) Reporter Park Jae-cheon = Jincheon County in North Chungcheong Province announced on the 14th that it will hold a special exhibition titled “National Treasure Tour, Treasures You Can Meet in Our Neighborhood” at the Jincheon Bell Museum from the 19th to August 9th.

The Jincheon exhibition is part of a cooperative project between the National Museum of Korea and regional public museums, with the National Museum of Korea hosting and Jincheon County and the National Cheongju Museum co-hosting.

At the Jincheon Bell Museum, five pieces of Joseon Dynasty blue and white porcelain will be showcased under the theme “Grace and Authority in Blue, Royal Blue and White Porcelain.”

The exhibition also includes one treasure item, providing an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of blue and white porcelain that reflects the dignity and aesthetic sensibility of the Joseon royal family, according to the county’s explanation.

Blue and white porcelain refers to white porcelain decorated with blue pigments, a typical cultural heritage produced in royal kilns during the Joseon Dynasty.

To commemorate the opening of the National Treasure Tour, a concert titled “Blue Melodies with the Jincheon County Symphony Orchestra, Meeting Treasures” will be held on the front lawn of the Bell Museum at 4 p.m. on the 30th.

Kim Ja-ram, an official from the Culture and Tourism Department, stated, “We hope many people will visit to directly experience the beauty of royal blue and white porcelain and the value of our cultural heritage.”
