**Samsung Seoul Hospital Ranks 26th Worldwide as Korea’s Best Hospital in 2026**

According to an announcement made on the 26th of February, Samsung Seoul Hospital has been named the best hospital in Korea, ranking 26th in the world in the “World’s Best Hospitals 2026” list released by the American weekly news magazine Newsweek on the 25th (local time).

The evaluation of the world’s best hospitals is conducted by Newsweek in partnership with the German global marketing research firm Statista. The hospital rankings are determined based on four criteria: medical performance indicators (40%), recommendations from domestic and international medical experts (35%), patient satisfaction (18.5%), and the implementation of a patient self-assessment tool (6.5%).

This year, Samsung Seoul Hospital climbed four spots to 26th place globally, ranking first among Korean hospitals. The hospital has steadily improved its ranking in Newsweek’s evaluations from 40th in 2023, to 34th in 2024, 30th in 2025, and now 26th.

Over the past two years, Samsung Seoul Hospital has also been recognized as the top comprehensive hospital and ranked 3rd globally in the cancer specialty by Newsweek. It has maintained its position as the top smart hospital in Korea for the past five years.

Hospital Director Park Seung-woo stated, “We are pleased that the achievements of future medicine focused on severe diseases have been recognized by medical experts worldwide. We will continue to strive for a healthy and bright future for humanity.”
