Rolls-Royce Launches ‘Super Luxury SUV’ Cullinan Series II in Korea

, ‘[Edaily Reporter Lee Dawon] Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ first sport utility vehicle (SUV) ‘Cullinan’ facelift model has landed in Korea. Rolls-Royce plans to target the Korean super luxury SUV market by introducing the high-performance model ‘Black Badge Cullinan Series II’.’,

‘On the 17th, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled the facelift model Cullinan Series II and its high-performance version, Black Badge Cullinan Series II, in the domestic market at Incheon Yeongjongdo Inspire.’,

‘Cullinan, first launched in 2018, is Rolls-Royce’s first SUV, established as a car that offers Rolls-Royce’s renowned ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ on any terrain. It has also attracted a large number of young customers, who have a high demand for SUVs, becoming the most sought-after model among Rolls-Royce’s entire product lineup.’,

‘It is also very popular in the domestic market. According to the Korea Imported Automobile Association (KAIDA), the Cullinan sold a total of 144 units in the domestic market last year, ranking first in brand sales.’,

‘Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Seoul General Manager Kim Jin-woong said, “Over the past years, the customer base of Rolls-Royce has been continuously changing, and this change is becoming established in Korea. We are confident that the Cullinan Series II will present more advanced elegance and unique experiences.”’,

‘The starting price for Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II (including VAT) is 577 million won. The Black Badge Cullinan Series II starts from 670 million won. Rolls-Royce plans to gradually deliver vehicles to customers starting this month.’,

New Daytime Running Lights for Enhanced Presence,

‘Despite being a facelift model, the Cullinan Series II has undergone numerous changes from exterior to interior. New daytime running lights have been added to the exterior, enhancing the unique presence of the Cullinan Series II. It also emits a subtle glow with the ‘Illuminated Pantheon Grille’ applied for the first time on the Cullinan.’,

‘The part from the lower end of the daytime running lights to the center of the vehicle forms a shallow ‘V’ shape, reminiscent of a sleek ship’s bow, and a horizontal line is added between the top of the Pantheon Grille and the daytime running lights, evoking the flagship model, the Phantom Series II.’,

‘Furthermore, the Cullinan Series II, for the first time, features 23-inch wheels with a three-dimensional 7-spoke design, which can be customized to one’s preference.’,

‘The high-performance version, Black Badge Cullinan Series II, accentuates its fierceness by finishing everything from the exterior and gloss to the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ in black. The rear tailgate, bumper accents, and exhaust pipes are chrome-plated. The meticulous design of the 10-spoke wheels manages to achieve an effect similar to 5-spoke wheels by adjusting the gloss, paint, and engraving.’,

‘The specifications for both the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II and Black Badge Cullinan Series II are a length of 5355mm, width of 2000mm, and height of 1835mm.’,

Interior Optimized for Young Customers… Enhanced Convenience,

‘Rolls-Royce aimed to enhance urban living and driving pleasure by aligning with young customers’ characteristics. Notably, they have integrated analog and digital features within the interior, polishing overall convenience.’,

‘The changes in the handcrafted interior can be appreciated from the driver’s seat. When seated, you are greeted by an analog clock and the Spirit of Ecstasy, along with an interior display that stretches from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s side. Particularly, a new Spirit of Ecstasy clock cabinet is highlighted in the center with illuminating lights.’,

‘The illuminated fascia applied in front of the passenger seat features 7,000 laser-engraved dots on the back of darkened tempered glass, inscribing words like the Cullinan wordmark. Rolls-Royce collaborated with bespoke designers to allow customers to order their unique illuminated fascia.’,

‘Through the central display, one can utilize the operating system ‘SPIRIT’. It offers innovative digital features and connectivity by managing car functions and integrating with Rolls-Royce’s exclusive smartphone app ‘Whispers’. Customers can send destinations directly to the vehicle, check the vehicle’s location remotely, or manage its lock status via the app. In the rear seats, up to two streaming devices can be connected, and seat and climate control functions can be adjusted.’,

‘The Cullinan Series II is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 engine, delivering a performance of up to 571 horsepower and 850Nm of maximum torque. It takes 5.3 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h.’,

‘The high-performance Black Badge Cullinan Series II boasts a powerful performance with up to 600 horsepower and 900Nm of maximum torque. By pressing the ‘Low’ button on the gear lever, dynamic driving can be enjoyed. In addition to a deep, majestic exhaust sound, if the accelerator pedal is pressed more than 90%, the gear shifting speed becomes 50% faster, offering a strong yet smooth acceleration capability.’,

‘Consultation and orders for vehicles and bespoke services can be conducted at the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Cheongdam Showroom, Pangyo Lounge, and Busan Haeundae Exhibition. On the 18th, a separate event unveiling the Cullinan Series II will be held at the Rolls-Royce Busan Haeundae Exhibition, aiming to enhance bespoke services and offer a unique luxury experience for domestic customers.’
