Porsche Unveils Second Electric SUV ‘Cayenne Electric’… “Super Sports Car-Level Performance”

Porsche AG has unveiled the ‘Cayenne Electric’, marking the company’s second pure electric SUV. Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, stated on the 20th that the Cayenne Electric offers entirely new levels of performance based on innovative motorsport technologies and sets new standards in the SUV segment in terms of both driving and charging.

The newly unveiled Cayenne Electric is equipped with an all-wheel-drive-based electronic Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) system in both the Cayenne and Cayenne Turbo models. The Cayenne Turbo accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and to 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, with a top speed of 260 km/h. It features a newly developed drive system that provides powerful e-performance, offering a maximum output of 1,156 PS and a maximum torque of 153.0 kg·m during launch control.

The Cayenne Electric excels in energy regeneration as well, with braking regeneration of up to 600 kW, achieving Formula E-level performance. About 97% of braking in everyday driving can be handled through regenerative braking alone.

A newly developed 113 kWh high-voltage battery, equipped with dual-sided cooling technology for optimal thermal management, allows the Cayenne Electric to achieve a maximum range of 642 km and the Turbo model up to 623 km (WLTP standard). Charging the battery from a state of charge (SoC) of 10% to 80% takes less than 16 minutes, and a mere 10-minute charge provides a driving range of 325 km for the Cayenne and 315 km for the Cayenne Turbo.

The new Cayenne Electric is 55 mm longer than the internal combustion engine model, with a total length of 4,985 mm, a width of 1,980 mm, and a height of 1,674 mm. The most significant difference is the wheelbase, increased by approximately 130 mm to 3,023 mm, offering rear passengers more generous legroom and comfort compared to before.

The domestic pricing for the Cayenne Electric models starts at 142.3 million KRW for the Cayenne Electric and 189.6 million KRW for the Cayenne Turbo Electric. These models are slated for release in South Korea in the second half of 2026.
