, “Sejong Center announced on the 18th that it will hold the 3rd ‘Korea Traditional Orchestra Festival’ from October 15 to 25 at the M Theater of Sejong Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul. This festival, now in its third year, will feature performances that blend tradition and modernity, regionality and artistry, with the participation of 10 national and public orchestras from across the country.”,
, ‘Participating ensembles include the Gyeonggi Sinawi Orchestra, KBS Traditional Orchestra, National Gugak Centre’s Creative Orchestra, Jeonju Traditional Orchestra, Gangwon Province Traditional Orchestra, Cheongju Traditional Orchestra, Pyeongtaek Traditional Orchestra, Daegu Traditional Orchestra, Jinju Traditional Orchestra, and Seoul Traditional Orchestra.’,
, ‘The festival will also feature international musicians presenting contemporary adaptations of East Asian traditional music. These include Chinese conductor Xu Zhi-jun, pipa player Liu Jia, Mongolian horn player Chengdeur Cheirmanda, and Uzbek qillar player Akmal Tursunov Avazovich.’,
, “The Gyeonggi Sinawi Orchestra will open the festival. Conducted by Kim Sung-jin, it will feature guitarist Kim Woo-jae, harpist Hwang Se-hee, and gayageum player Yoo Suk-kyung. They will present a harp concerto themed ‘Dalharangom’ and ‘Deep Night’ as a homage to gayageum master the late Hwang Byung-ki (1936-2018), offering a stage where delicate lyricism and experimental sensibility coexist.”,
