This expo added sports tourism in addition to existing cruise tourism and luxury tourism.
Buyers from 18 countries around the world will visit the expo, conducting business-to-business consultations with over 100 domestic tourism companies and institutions on theme tourism products.
Events such as the ‘Luxury Tourism Development Council’ discussing tourism industry development strategies and ‘Cruise Seminar’ will be held, with programs such as promoting cruise destinations for overseas participants.
Kim Geun-ho, a policy officer for the tourism industry at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, “Through the expo, we hope that overseas buyers will discover various theme tourism contents to introduce to their own countries, and the domestic tourism industry will pioneer new opportunities.”
