(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Hong Gyubin – The Mercedes-Benz Social Responsibility Committee announced on the 29th that it had awarded a total of 150 million Korean won in “Give and Dream” scholarships to 50 promising children and youth in sports.
“Give and Dream” is a program aimed at selecting young athletes who excel in difficult circumstances and supporting their competition and training expenses, equipment purchases, and injury treatment costs.
Since 2020, a total of 900 million Korean won in scholarships have been awarded to 300 recipients.
Figure skating scholarship student Lee Yoon-ho said, “I was in a difficult situation due to an injury, but thanks to the Give and Dream scholarship, I was able to continue my athlete career through rehabilitation training, and I am truly happy and grateful.”
Matthias Beitel, chairman of the Benz Social Responsibility Committee, stated, “Benz Korea will support youth, who are the leaders of the future generation, in various fields so that they do not lose their dreams and can grow healthily.”
