Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 9th that they will present a media art exhibition titled ‘Ghosts Outside the Device’ from the 10th to November 14th.

The exhibition will take place at 9 locations including a 27-meter high, 10-meter wide media tower in the center of Terminal 1, 8 large screens within Incheon Airport, and 1 exhibition space in Terminal 2.

A total of 11 video works and 5 installation works by 8 promising domestic artists selected from the ‘Incheon International Airport Media Art Exhibition Support Contest’ will be on display.

‘Ghosts Outside the Device’ focuses on the fact that people in today’s world are interconnected through the internet and communication devices, forming networks like airports connecting cities.

In a digital era where boundaries between virtual and reality are blurred, the exhibition showcases the artistic processes of artists who sensitively respond to themes that make it difficult to clearly define our identities.

Lim Hak-jae, the CEO of the corporation, stated, “Through introducing Korea’s diverse cultural and artistic content at the gateway of South Korea, Incheon Airport, we plan to promote Korean culture to international travelers and provide airport users with a unique cultural and artistic experience exclusive to Incheon Airport.”
