“Management normalization progress”…KGM Commercial, cumulative contract for 300 eco-friendly buses

KGM Commercial, a part of the KG Group, has achieved a total of 300 contracts for eco-friendly buses including 11M and 9M buses by July this year, speeding up its management normalization. This result from KGMC represents about a 170% increase compared to last year (111 units sold). When calculated in terms of sales revenue, it surpasses 100 billion KRW according to the company’s explanation, even including the performance of its predecessor, Edison Motors, the highest since its establishment.

Out of the 300 cumulative contracts, 156 units have been delivered, while the remaining 144 units will be produced and delivered to customers in order according to the contract. KGMC is expanding its production system not only at its Hamyang factory in Gyeongsangnam-do but also at its Gunsan factory in Jeollabuk-do, adding various products to its lineup such as medium and large intercity buses in addition to existing 11M and 9M buses.

After being incorporated into the KG family, the newly developed 9M bus is scheduled to be produced at the Gunsan factory starting from this September and delivered to customers. Since June, KGMC has been holding pre-demonstration events and taking reservations for transport companies. A KGMC spokesperson stated, “We plan to increase sales volume by expanding the domestic market and utilizing global networks for market expansion in regions such as ASEAN, aiming to grow from a domestic eco-friendly bus company to a global eco-friendly comprehensive commercial vehicle company.” They added, “We expect the contract volume to increase even more in the second half of the year.”
