“Golden,” the OST from the Netflix animated film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” (KDH), which has become a global phenomenon, has reclaimed the top spot on the U.S. Billboard main singles chart, the “Hot 100.”
According to a chart preview article released by Billboard on the 25th (local time), “Golden” moved up one place from the previous week to retake the number one position. This marks the second time “Golden” has topped the chart, following its first time on August 11th.
The “Hot 100” ranks songs based on a combination of streaming, radio airplay, and sales data. Compared to the previous week, “Golden” saw a 3% increase in streaming, a 39% increase in radio airplay, and an 11% rise in sales.
The OST from “KDH” features four songs, including “Golden,” in the top 10: “Your Idol” (4th place), “Soda Pop” (5th place), and “How It’s Done” (10th place).
Billboard noted, “It is the first time in Billboard history that four songs from the soundtrack of a single work have simultaneously entered the singles chart ‘top 10.'”
